Rosie is a favorite restaurant of ours located in New Canaan, CT. On Mother’s Day this year, they held an extra special brunch from 9 AM to 4 PM and offered some amazing dishes like their scrumptious lobster club, their delectable brioche French toast, and the Huevos Rancheros, which is another local favorite.
Or if you prefer to visit for dinner, you can taste test any one of their other delicious dishes including the chicken brie, the Rosie, the Panino 67, the Caesar salad, the taco salad, the original fish taco, the grilled shrimp tacos, the shrimp, black bean, and corn quesadilla, and the vegetarian burrito if you don’t feel like eating meat on this special day.
2. Shell & Bones Oyster Bar & Grill
Shell & Bones Oyster Bar & Grill is located in New Haven, CT, and this year on Mother’s Day, they are still holding their regular Sunday brunch which starts at 11 AM and ends at 2:30 PM, but they made it extra special this year because many of the specials were inspired by Mother’s Day. So there’s definitely something for everyone, and if you love oysters and fresh seafood right off the grill, you’re definitely going to enjoy this delectable restaurant and all of the scrumptious seafood they have to offer.
Artisan has two inspiring locations in Southport and Hartford, CT, so feel free to visit either one of these great places on Mother’s Day this year. In fact, they have created a three course meal specifically designed with moms in mind that they served from 11:30 AM to 7 PM. It was truly an amazing experience and the food was second to none this year.
4. Bar Sugo
Bar Sugo is located on Wall Street right in the heart of Norwalk, CT. As one of the top restaurants in all of Norwalk, you can bet your bottom dollar that they put together an amazing spread for families on Mother’s Day.
In fact, besides offering great deals on their regular brunch menu, their wines were half price for the special occasion and they even had a drink deal that provided unlimited mimosas and bloody marys for $17, which is an excellent value and it was a great place to go if you were looking to tie one on and have a blast as you ate delicious food and enjoyed great company with family and friends.
5. Basso Café
Basso Café is the perfect place to go if you’re looking for delectable Mediterranean food, a swanky atmosphere, and excellent company. On Mother’s Day, they really outdid themselves this year and put together a special Mother’s Day dinner that started at 5 PM. It consisted of special dishes specifically designed for the occasion, plus they even offered some of their best wine at a 30% discount. Everybody went home happy, stuffed, and joyful on this special occasion and many customers said they looked forward to coming back next year.
6. Bee & Thistle Inn
Bee & Thistle Inn in Old Lyme, CT really outdid themselves and put together an exceptional Mother’s Day menu for all the amazing women celebrating their holiday in this quaint, friendly establishment.
On the menu, they offered a spring pea & applewood smoked ham soup; the salad had heirloom cherry tomatoes, goat cheese, baby arugula, hazelnuts and a lemon thyme dressing; and for the entrée moms had a choice of eggs benedict with house smoked pork loin on a toasted brioche bun, free range chicken breast and tarragon pan gravy, grilled beef tenderloin in truffle demi glaze, and pan roasted salmon in dried mango beurre blanc sauce.
7. Bistro Versailles
Bistro Versailles is located in Greenwich Connecticut on Greenwich Avenue. Just like all of the other restaurants mentioned today, this exciting place was extraordinary this year because of Mother’s Day.
Not only did they have their regular Sunday brunch menu from 8 AM to 4 PM, and their regular dinner menu from 5 PM to 10 PM, they also had unparalleled dishes designed specifically for moms in the restaurant to help honor them on their important day. So many customers went home happy and vowed to return next year for the Mother’s Day celebration.
8. Flinders Lane
Flinders Lane has a great restaurant in Stamford, CT. This beautiful Australian inspired restaurant is one-of-a-kind in this awesome community. Their regular hours are from 5 PM until late on weekdays, and they open early from 11 AM to 4 PM for brunch on the weekends.
For Mother’s Day, they gave each mom a glass of champagne on the house as soon as they arrived. Plus they had a $20 all you can drink bloody mary and mimosa deal as well as a two course Mother’s Day meal for $25. Not only was the food affordable, it was also delicious, and the drinks never seemed to end.
9. Griswold Inn
Griswold Inn is in Essex, CT, and they had an out of this world dinner buffet for mothers starting at 11 AM and ending at 7:30 PM. They had so many great tasting dishes that it’s impossible to mention them all. Adults had to pay $45 to take advantage of this excellent spread, and kids under 12 paid $19.95.
Some of their excellent menu options included baked stuffed sole with lobster sherry cream sauce, citrus herbed basmati rice with English peas, citrus glazed salmon with compressed mango and pineapple slaw, roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon, pear, and white balsamic with whipped potatoes, and cheese tortellini with baby spinach, asiago cheese, and sun-dried tomato pesto cream sauce, to name just a few of their delicious choices.
10. Match Burger Lobster
Match Burger Lobster is located in Westport, Connecticut, and they really went all out for Mother’s Day in 2018. They had excellent lunch and dinner options on this special day, and some of their outstanding food included shrimp cocktail, bag of steamers, Caesar salad, matzoh ball soup, seafood chowder, the match burger, foot-long Fleischer’s dog, hot CT lobster rolls, veggie burgers, meat and potatoes, and much, much more.
