    Outdoor Movies Concert Norwalk

    July 20, 2018

Arms in the air at a sunny, outdoor concert

For those looking for an exciting new community to live in, Norwalk housing is readily available and it’s truly a great place to live. In fact, this summer they’ve already begun the Norwalk Summer Concert Series. It is a series of fun and exciting outdoor events hosted by the city of Norwalk and First County Bank.

As you can imagine, the various concerts and outdoor movies available this summer is incredibly exciting for the whole community. Plus, its family centered fun so you can enjoy these events with the entire family. Or if you prefer, do not hesitate to show up and bring your friends, coworkers, or anyone else who may want to be in attendance.

More important than anything else, make it a point to get out of your house or apartment this summer, get some fresh air, and enjoy lively entertainment all at the same time. We human beings spend way too much time indoors these days so we have to take advantage of these unique opportunities that present themselves over the summer.

Are you ready for fun this summer? Take in a summer concert or an outdoor movie if you prefer. Just remember to go out and get off the couch and meet new people, have plenty of laughs, and truly make the most of these special occasions that only come around once the weather warms up.

How Much Does It Cost to Go to the Norwalk Summer Concert Series?

Although money is usually no object when you live in Norwalk CT, people still care about and wonder how much things will cost when they plan to go to specific events. As an example, today we’re talking about the Norwalk Summer Concert Series. You may be wondering if this event is going to be expensive or not.

Guess what? The event is 100% free. In fact, it’s more than one event because it’s a series of concerts that take place all summer long. You can get together with your family, friends, coworkers, and everyone else interested and visit the dedicated event locations at Calf Pasture Beach & Veterans Memorial Park in Norwalk and experience beautiful summer concerts like you’ve never done so before.

Why Should I Bother Going to a Concert on the Beach or in the Park?

People attend these events for a wide variety of reasons. Some truly love listening to concert music and can’t wait to attend an event such as this. Others like going to car shows – which is also part of the experience – and still others like to go out for Saturday Family Movie Night at Shady Beach.

Are you the type of person that typically spends their summer evenings indoors? If that’s you, then you need to get outside, meet new people, and enjoy fresh air this summer. Even if you do not have anyone to go with, you should definitely go to one of the concerts this year to have an experience that you’ll never soon forget.

On the other hand, if you’re the type of person that prefers movies over concerts, spend a Saturday night on the beach watching a movie with your children, their friends, and other parents in the community. You aren’t going to have an opportunity to do this too often, so you might as well take advantage of it while you can. And remember, admission is free so it’s a great way to spend the evening out without paying too much for the privilege.

All in all, there are a wide variety of reasons why you should attend these particular events. Think about it and maybe you’ll even come up with your own reasons that we haven’t mentioned here today.

When and Where Are the Concerts Going to Be Held This Summer?

As you alluded to earlier, the summer concert series is held on Calf Pasture Beach on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sunday evenings during the summer. You’ll have an opportunity to listen to all types of music including Motown, dance music, a Credence Clearwater Revival tribute band, an Elton Jon tribute band, a Chicago tribute band, a Beatles tribute band, and many more fantastic acts.

But we’ve barely just scratched the tip of the iceberg. In fact, throughout the summer, you’ll also have an opportunity to attend four different car shows hosted by The Coachmen. As of this writing, two of the four car shows have already passed, but there will be one on July 10 and the final car show is on August 14. Both will start at 6 PM.

When and Where Will They Host Saturday Family Movie Night?

Saturday Family Movie Night is going to be held on Shady Beach every Saturday from July 7 - August 18. These movies are specifically chosen for the kids, but adults will obviously enjoy them as well if they like sitting down and watching movies with the youngsters.

The movies airing during Saturday Family Movie Night include Pixals, Despicable Me 3, Cars 3, Coco, Moana, Paddington 2, and Willi Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. All movies begin between 5:30pm and 6 PM. Check with the Norwalk CT website for specific days and start times.

When and Where Will Tuesday Evening Open Mic Night Take Place?

We almost forgot to mention that every Tuesday evening there will be an open mic night in Freese Park. This open mic night will happen every Tuesday until August 28, 2018. It begins at 7 PM and ends at 10 PM, so if you’ve ever wanted to play live music in front of a pumped up crowd, now’s your opportunity to showcase your musical stylings for the good people of Norwalk CT.
