Norwalk's New Year's Events
December 20, 2017
It’s that time of year again. New Year’s Day fast approaches, and residents of Fairfield County, in the Stamford CT rentals and areas around Norwalk, will be getting ready for the fine festivities that will be underway. What’s going to be going on come December 31st? There’s plenty happening up and down the coast in Connecticut, whether you want a lavish night on the town or something a bit more low-key. Here’s the lowdown on some of the most happening events and celebrations, with a few details on where to go, when to be there, and everything else you’ll need to know to have a great time.
DJ Self New Year’s Eve Ball
The Imperial Eagle Plaza is known as a pristine location, and a focal point for big gatherings:
“Nothing sets off an event like a gorgeous location. When you are planning your next get together or corporate event, you need the spacious beauty of Imperial Eagle Plaza.”
For New Year’s Eve, they’ll be hosting a swanky ball for interested guests. Starting at 9:00PM and lasting until 2:00AM, Love & Hip-Hop’s own DJ Self will be hosting, and bringing the live entertainment for the swaths of partygoers.
It’ll be a masquerade affair, with additional musical entertainment provided by DJ Marlon and DJ Double Tee. Tickets are $30 (for advance tickets) and $100 for the “Early Bottle Special.” Be sure to check out the Facebook Page to see some of the venue’s past events and just how amazing the atmosphere gets here.
New Year’s Eve At Hudson Social
Hudson Social, over in Dobbs Ferry, NY, is a standout establishment, particularly because of its unique decor:
“Hudson Social is the latest Westchester restaurant to occupy a train station. While Club Car, housed in the former Mamaroneck station, serves up filet mignon under sweeping crystal chandeliers, and the casual Hastings Station Cafe in Hastings-on-Hudson offers a reliably frothy cappuccino, Hudson Social aims to be something in between: more cool hangout than serious dinner spot, but with a menu interesting enough to warrant a visit.”
For New Year’s Eve, They’ve got their own masquerade party going on. The Scatt Brothers will be in attendance, providing the DJ duties. Donning your mask and costume, you’ll be among similarly dressed attendees, until the clock hit midnight. Then, you’ll drop the masks, have a champagne toast, and continue partying all the way up until 4:00AM. The event includes an open bar and food buffet, party hats, noise makers, and much more.
New Year’s Eve At Ron Black’s Beer Hall
Under normal circumstances, Ron Black’s Beer Hall would be a spot to gather for a great trivia night and a few rounds of beer. On New Year’s Eve, it’ll be the place to be to cap off 2017:
“It's time to close out the year in style. We're having our New Year's Eve party and you don't want to miss it. Open Bar from 9pm-1am, party favors, champagne toast at midnight and an appetizer spread.”
Hosted by Brazen Fox, this event will feature an all-night DJ and open bar, along with finger food and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $100 per guest and non-transferable, but the event is likely going to be a blast, so there’s no reason to miss out.
New Year’s Eve Dance Party At Villa Bianca’s
Over in Seymour, CT, at the Villa Bianca Inn, one of the area’s swankiest parties will be kicking off on New Year’s Eve:
“Start 2018 off right with a memorable evening at Villa Bianca’s DJ Dance Party! Join us on SUNDAY, December 31, 2017 as we ring in the New Year! Enjoy your night without any worries as we host this special evening for you to enjoy!”
The festivities at Villa Bianca will include a premium open bar, full course buffet dinner, complimentary party hats, noise makers, and a midnight champagne toast. Of course, it wouldn’t be a party without plenty of dancing, so the Villa’s DJ will also be in attendance, bumping the bass-heavy tunes and getting the action out to the dancefloor.
Gatsby Gala At The Harbor Club
The very name Gatsby Gala conjures up images of classy, upscale, 1920s-inspired decor and happening party atmosphere. At the Harbor Club in Huntington, NY, the Bohlsen Restaurant Group will be putting on just such a soiree for interested guests, allowing them to bring the new year in with unmatchable style and grace.
What comes along with this intimate affair? The Harbor Club is putting on a cocktail hour, three course dinner, premium open bar, as well as a DJ and dancefloor so that everyone can get out and commune in superior fashion. For those that prefer the finer things, this will be the New Year’s Eve party to hit.
Troupe429 New Year’s Eve Party
For a NYE Event that’s a bit different from the standard fare, you might want to check out Troupe429’s New Year’s Eve Party, going on from 9:00PM until 2:00AM. Teaming up with April Carrión from RuPaul’s Drag Race, the Bar/Performance venue will be putting on spectacular show, with additional guest appearances by Bridgett London, Hazel Berry-Rose, and Melody Lucas.
Like many venues, they’ll be televising the Times Square ball drop. In addition to that, they’ll be offering up free bubbly at midnight, free pizza, Smirnoff vodka shots, gift bags, and musical entertainment courtesy of DJ Christie. It’ll be a lively affair, and a chance to get out to one of Norwalk’s premiere performance spaces.
