New Year’s Eve in Norwalk?
December 22, 2015
With the hustle and bustle surrounding Christmas, sometimes New Year’s takes us by surprise!
This year, don’t get caught without New Year’s Eve plans. There’s plenty of fun things to do in Fairfield County, CT, and all you have to do is plan ahead and make sure your friends and family are on board. The best part of these Norwalk restaurants, salons, and bars? They’re all super close to your apartment, so you won’t have to travel far.
Then, head to a spot close to The Waypointe to ring in 2016 in style!
Start With a $20 Blowout at Salons by JC
[Downstairs in The Waypointe District]
Start off by getting your hair in tip top New Year’s celebrating shape. Salons by JC, right downstairs at The Waypointe District will be offering $20 blowouts for the Waypointe tenants on Wednesday, December 30! Schedule an appointment or walk in from 10am - 6pm. Oh, and did we mention the complimentary mimosas? Yep. This is one pre-NYE celebration in Norwalk not to miss.
Toast with Tapas at Barcelona Wine Bar South Norwalk
We are beyond excited for the day when Barcelona Wine Bar moves into The Waypointe District (yay parking and close proximity). For now, we’ll make the short trek downtown to visit the SoNo location on North Main Street. Make your New Year’s Eve reservation and give your New Year a boost with Spanish tapas and delicacies.
Celebrate with Chef Carlos at The Spread SoNo
If you’re a foodie, you’ve been to The Spread. This Norwalk newcomer has won rave reviews from Connecticut Mag (and foodie friends everywhere). They’ll be seating 3 times at 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m.
Pick your favorite dishes from the regular a la carte menu OR try exciting feature dishes created by Chef Carlos. Toast your seatmates with a complimentary glass of champagne and a toast at midnight. You won’t have to go elsewhere to get your party on, either--rumor has it there will be a DJ and a photo booth to keep the party going after dinner and into 2016!
Usher in the New Year at Sedona Taphouse
[Downstairs in The Waypointe District]
Our very own Sedona Taphouse (OK, we don’t own them, they’re just in The Waypointe District) is hosting a super laid back New Years Eve. They’re open normal hours (opening at 11:30 a.m.) and the full menu will be available all the way until 12:30 a.m. so you can make sure you end 2015 on a happy stomach. If you’re looking to hang out with friends in a relaxed atmosphere, this is likely your best bet. Toast to a New Year as you watch the ball drop on TV alongside friends and neighbors, and then head upstairs to nod off.
Go Big (and Don’t Go Home) at Johnny Utah’s SoNo 2nd Annual Last Call Ball
Johnny Utah’s knows how to put on a good party. Just ask anyone who attended the Last Call Ball last year! Head here at 8:00 p.m. so you can snag your seats. It’s just $35 for a regular ticket, or spring for VIP tickets with four or more friends, and get bottle service! You’ll enjoy a complimentary buffet, party favors, cash and prizes, dancing, and of course, a champagne toast at midnight alongside 600 other people. This might be one of the biggest parties in town.
Soak Up Live Music at O’Neill’s Pub & Restaurant NYE Party
O’Neill’s Pub and Restaurant always puts on a solid New Year’s Eve Party. This year, listen to live music by Tangled Vine, and fill up on a tasty prixe fixe dinner. Make reservations for you and your friends today, and be the hero come New Year’s Eve!
Of course, if you decide to stay in with friends and grab hot oil pizza from Colony Grill downstairs (open New Years Eve until 10 p.m.), we wouldn’t blame you. However you and your friends and family decide to celebrate in Norwalk this year, we want to wish you a safe and happy New Year’s from The Waypointe!
