Fun Classes Fall in Fairfield
September 23, 2015
Facebook feeds all over the US were flooded recently with all things back-to-school.
Perfectly packed lunches, new character-themed backpacks, and one particular little boy who just couldn’t keep all of those first day emotions in.
If you found yourself pining for the days of pencils and playgrounds this fall, this blog post is for you. We’re covering some fun local classes around Fairfield County this year. And the best part? No Algebra class in sight (if you happened to like math...well, we’re sure you could find a course somewhere.)
Norwalk residents, let’s get back-to-school, adult style.
Phys Ed as an adult is the best. No more long socks, whistles, or jumping jacks. Get your fitness on with a unique new workout this fall in Fairfield County. Hey, it may not be swimsuit season anymore, but you’ll reduce work stress, and you’ll thank us when you get on that flight to Puerto Rico in the spring. Norwalk is full of diverse fitness options--here are some that will challenge and potentially transform your body.
If you threw away your recorder--well, good. It’s time to graduate to a more mature instrument, and it’s never too late to learn. Whether you always dreamed of playing piano or strumming a guitar, there’s no better time to start than now. Check out one of the following resources below for music lessons in and around Norwalk, CT.
Art class was almost everyone’s favorite class in school--and for good reason. When’s the last time you painted, drew, sculpted, or beaded? Well, it’s about to happen a lot more often. Prepare for relaxation and fun at one of the following artsy spots in Norwalk. (And while you’re in SoNo, why not explore the neighborhood!)
OK, so this class disappeared faster in the 80s than your Aunt’s banana bread. But we’re bringing it back with unique offerings like woodworking (build your own end table), cooking courses to bring you to gourmet level, and a class to master your finances.
How else are you going to ask for a chocolate croissant in french?
Learn a new language, broaden your mind, and challenge yourself on your next trip abroad. The Norwalk Community College offers language courses in Italian, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, French, and German. Take your pick and immerse yourself in a classroom environment where you can really practice what you’ve learned.
Or...Just Train Fido
Teach your old (or young) dog new tricks. Classes are fun, interesting, and you’ll really reap the benefits here. (Believe it or not, it’s possible for even the most rambunctious dogs to wait politely for a treat or heel.) Check out Doggone Smart for group or private dog training. Afterward, treat your dog to a relaxing grooming session complete with all-natural shampoo and a massage.
