As you can imagine, there’s definitely plenty of things to do, and in particular were going to tell you about some of the exciting fairs taking place this fall in the Fairfield County region.

When all is said and done, it’s often difficult to find exhilarating activities for you and your family to enjoy. But it doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of great things going on right in your own backyard. You just have to know where to look. We’re happy to tell you about the wonderful fall fairs and festivals happening in and around your community this year. So pay close attention and get excited about the special events taking place near your hometown.

    Norwalk Seaport Association Oyster Festival

Each year, the Norwalk Seaport Association holds an oyster festival. Many members of the community love going to this welcoming and inviting festival for a wide variety of reasons. For starters, you obviously have to love eating oysters if you’re going to get the most out of this festival held each year in Veterans Memorial Park. If you don’t like oysters, then you’re still more than welcome to go to the festival, but it might not be as good for you as it is for others.

Next, you may decide to go to this festival because there’s plenty of great entertainment for the children, adults have a good time getting together and enjoying each other’s company, and there’s lots of great tasting food and adult beverages for everyone to enjoy. So if you’re looking to have a fun day away from the house while getting together with friends and neighbors, then this festival might be right up your alley.

Third, many people enjoy the festival because of the arts and crafts and the thrilling shows that get put on throughout the day. So there’s lots of great live entertainment, you can participate in arts and crafts, and enjoying many of the other activities taking place during the festival.

Finally, it’s a great place to go if you’re looking for low-cost entertainment right in your community of Norwalk. If your child is 12 years old or younger, he or she will be able to get into the festival for free as long as the child is accompanied by an adult who paid for their ticket. So not only is it low-cost and exciting, for many of us it’s an ideal way to spend the day out among the community getting the know one another better, getting reacquainted with other people you haven’t seen in a while, and ultimately have a good time enjoying each other’s company.

    St. Peter’s Annual Apple Festival

Taking place in Monroe, CT, this exciting event happens every year. It is being held at the Monroe Green, which is a historic location in the community. It’s an exciting event for everyone in New England and many people come from far and wide to enjoy this wonderful experience.

While here, you’ll be able to buy beautiful crafts from vendors from all around the community. These gorgeous crafts are here for everyone to enjoy and appreciate. Feel free to take something home if you think it will add a touch of joy and happiness to your beautiful abode.

There’s plenty to do for the kids as well. They have the opportunity to take advantage of the moon bounce house, face painting, and other great kids’ games. So obviously the youngsters are going to have a fantastic time with other kids their age as they get to jump around, dance and laugh and have a great time while playing fun games for everyone to enjoy. It’s going to be an experience that they will not forget for many years to come. For all you know, your child may form lasting friendships with the youngsters in attendance at this wonderful event.

Greenwich Audubon Fall Festival and Hawk Watch

This is an interesting event that everybody in the Norwalk/Greenwich region should certainly get behind. The Audubon Fall Festival and Hawk watch in Greenwich is a family-friendly nature event that you’ll really enjoy if you like spending time out in the sun, enjoying the beautiful crisp fall air, and seeing nature in all of its glory.

They have shows at this event and in particular we’re talking about the raptor show. This is always a fun show that the kids really seem to enjoy. But that’s only just scratching the surface; because one of the most interesting things about this event is they release Hawks so you can watch them in all of their glory. These beautiful creatures are large, have a massive wingspan and they are very attractive and majestic birds that you’ll truly enjoy seeing live and in person.

That’s not all, because they also have a petting zoo, which kids always tend to love because they have a chance to interact with many amazing animals that they wouldn’t normally interact with as part of their regular day-to-day life. They also have face painting, hayrides, a rock climbing wall, and many other interesting and exciting activities for the kids. And parents have a tendency to love these activities as well because they like getting involved with their kids and watching them have a great time with other children their own age.

    Ambler Farm Day

Ambler Farm Day takes place in Wilton, Connecticut each year. It’s a great event for kids to experience lots of fun. They get to see the farm animals, play with the pumpkin chucker, go on hayrides, do children’s crafts, eat great food, walk through the pumpkin patch, and even use an apple slingshot. They’re going to have so much fun that you’ll have a hard time getting them to leave.

Clearly, there’s plenty for families to do with their children in the Norwalk area located in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Check out any or all of these events and you’ll have a great time with family and friends.
