    4th of July in Norwalk!

    One of the best things about living in Norwalk is it’s beautiful seaside scenery--there’s really no better place to watch a festive fireworks show than over the Atlantic. Spend some time with your friends and family and celebrate the 4th of July this year with a picnic and Norwalk’s own fireworks show.

    Annual Independence Day Fireworks Show

    Head over to Calf Pasture Beach on July 3rd for Norwalk’s annual fireworks show. The fireworks begin at dusk, but there are other events going on all day for 4th of July revellers. At 6 PM the beach will be transformed into a dance floor featuring a DJ; Jimmy & the Parrots (a Jimmy Buffett tribute band) take the stage at 8 PM and resume after the fireworks display.

    Cookout or eat-in

    If your want to make your pre-fireworks festivities an all day celebration, Calf Pasture and nearby Shady Beach offer great picnic options. If you’re looking to have an Independence Day cookout, head over to Shady Beach early and stake out one of the grills and picnic tables. If grilling your meal yourself is off the menu, try Calf Pasture which has tables for a casual picnic as well as a few spots to purchase concessions and casual beach fare, like Ripka’s Cafe or Calfe Mu.

    Whether you want to just catch the fireworks are make your celebrations an all day affair, there are great options for any Norwalk resident. The Waypointe puts you right in the center of all the goings-on in Norwalk, making you perfectly situated to enjoy this Independence Day.
